Sustainability

GFC supports green building and performance measures.

Kevin Whitener, LEED AP, spear-heads GFC’s green initiatives while other team members become LEED accredited to help you meet your LEED certification requirements.

GFC is also proud to partner with our vendors who are also demonstrating leadership in sustainability.

GFC’s other environmentally-responsible initiatives have included metal recycling for major projects such as Randolph AFB’s Building 399. GFC proposed bringing in a dumpster specifically for scrap metal from the renovation—not only saving a significant amount of metal from ending up in landfill, but also bringing money for the metal back to the base. In addition, the GFC team ensured light bulbs from the old light fixtures were recycled, too.
