TXMAS
Texas multiple award schedule (TXMAS) contracts have developed from competitively-awarded federal government contracts or contracts awarded by another state governmental entity.
The General Service Administration's (GSA) Federal Supply Service is the responsible federal entity and it awards Federal Supply Schedule contracts through competitive procurement procedures for more than 50 multiple commodities and service schedules.
GSA Schedule contracts use most-favored customer (MFC) prices and maximum price allowable. TXMAS contracts also use MFC prices. Agencies and local governmental entities can often negotiate a lower price than what is offered on a schedule contract.
