Here is a list of GFC’s LEED Silver projects:
METC Dorms—Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas
Goodfellow’s Air Force Base, 200-man dormitory
Fort Hood COE Project, Bell County, Texas
IMCOM, Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas
Dynamic Components, Corpus Christi, Texas
GFC’s other environmentally-responsible initiatives include metal recycling at a major project: Randolph AFB’s Building 399. GFC proposed bringing in a dumpster specifically for scrap metal from the renovation—not only saving a significant amount of metal from ending up in landfill, but also bringing money for the metal back to the base. In addition, the GFC team ensured light bulbs from the old light fixtures were recycled, too.
